Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Backend Engineering
• Abstract away complex data interactions with easy-to-use APIs that will power web applications.
• Support our Engineering Team to manage end-to-end of the backend for our products.
• Understand and work with leading technologies that reduce development costs with no foreseeable downsides.
• Own, scale and maintain the compute and storage infrastructure for the various product teams.
• Work closely with our Engineering and Product Team to understand needs and develop solutions for our users.
• Learn how to mitigate risks through robust analysis and testing.

2. Frontend Engineering 
• Work across verticals to design an eye-catching and responsive user interface.
• Collaborate with Engineering Team to set up integrations and design the storage and querying infrastructure.
• Set up SDKs to interact with the backend over HTTP in the most secure and object-oriented way.
• Bring new features by building beautiful and intuitive interfaces for our users.
• Help the team design user flows and iterate the product based on feedback from our customer-facing teams.

3. Site Reliability Engineering
• Build an auto-remediation system to resolve production incidents before escalating them to on-call engineers automatically.
• Drive the company through "Disaster Recovery Tests", where we manually turn down pieces of infrastructure to test Atlan's overall resiliency to failures.
• Work on large scale, cloud-based applications, where performance, reliability, and scalability are critical design goals.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of our enterprise software solution.
• Identify and resolve issues related to customer experience.

4. Customer Happiness
• Own the lifecycle of Atlan users from on-boarding, setup to day-to-day engagements, including serving as the point of contact for handling problems and requests for support.
• Craft delightful user experiences during onboarding and all subsequent touchpoints by owning customer communications across various channels.
• Maintain an accurate record of customer interactions and support conversations

5. DataOps Consulting 
• Helping deliver a stellar customer experience to data teams & data leaders.
• Follow established SOPs and processes to provide advisory support for customers
• Collaborate closely with Atlan's product team.

6. Product Enablement
• Assist the product team in the identification and reporting of product trends and abnormalities.
• Own Atlan's product documentation & training content, and crafting well-written user-facing communications and documentation.

Skills Required:
1. Backend Engineering
• Fluent in HTTP and have a knack for picking the right set of tools for the job at hand.
• Work with Python or Golang.
• Basic understanding of DevOps (log rotation, reverse proxies etc)

2. Frontend Engineering 
• Experience with multiple front-end frameworks or are proficient in at least one frontend framework.
• Have a disciplined approach to writing unit tests and ensuring code quality.
• Care about scale, quality, structured readable code (preferably in MVC patterns), cross-platform and cross-browser issues, and module reusability.
• Strong awareness and keep up to date with the latest industry trends and developments.

3. Site Reliability Engineering
• Knowledge of Containerization technologies such as Docker and Pivotal Cloud Foundry Docker, OpenStack, and Public cloud delivery.
• Know-how with AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP.
• Ability to work on Kubernetes, CI/CD and Scripting languages like bash, python.
• Ability to work with Agile methodologies.

4. Customer Happiness
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity, and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with the modern data stack across ETL, storage, BI, and everything in-between, with a demonstrated ability to stay up to date with new developments is a plus.

5. DataOps Consulting 
• Hands on experience as a data practitioner either via university courses. MOOCs or work experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with the modern data stack across ETL, storage, BI, and everything in-between, with a demonstrated ability to stay up to date with new developments is a plus.

6. Product Enablement
• Excellent communication skills, both written and live, with an emphasis on clarity, and problem-solving.
